Our Team
Hope Brown Johnson
I am pianist and worship leader who loves to teach kids (and all ages!) about music! I have a degree in Music from Concordia College in Moorhead, and have worked as a Music Director, musician, composer, arranger, music teacher, and piano, guitar, voice, violin, & ukulele teacher for the last 13+ years. Whether teaching a music lesson, leading a class, or jamming out at camp, my hope is our students’ not only fall in to love with music, but learn valuable life skills such as self-confidence, growth-mindset, discipline, and teamwork. It is an honor to teach music and watch every student grow!
I live in Moorhead with my husband, Dylan, and step-daughter, Ingrid. When I am not teaching, you can find me homeschooling, cooking, reading, gardening, going on camping trips, and soaking up sweet time with my family & friends.

I am a music teacher and worship leader who loves sharing my love of music with others! I have a degree in Music Education from Concordia College in Moorhead, and have worked as a Music Teacher, Worship Leader, musician, arranger, and composer for the last 10+ years. Whatever I am doing, I hope that our students would experience the joy that creating music and connecting with others brings to us all. I can’t wait to meet your students and spend our summer learning, exploring, jamming, growing, and having fun together!
I live in Fargo and have a love of the outdoors and people! When I am not teaching, I love hanging out with friends, making music, going on outdoor adventures, camping, and road tripping across the country.
Stephanie Kohl
I have been playing piano for 30 years and counting! I was taught how to play guitar by the authors of the Hal Leonard Method series themselves at a national music conference 13 years ago and, I also play ukulele and study voice. I have a degree in Vocal Music Education from Concordia College in Moorhead, MN and recently earned my masters in Special Education from the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks. After 12 years of teaching music in a public school setting, I am now staying home with my young daughter and going into teaching music lessons & classes part time.
I specialize in piano lessons for students 3 years old through adult, as well as guitar, ukulele and voice lessons for elementary age up through high school, specializing in both classical and musical literature. I have a passion for adaptive music and have taken numerous workshops & attended national conferences for music therapy and music for all abilities. She is happy to connect with any music lesson interests in North Fargo.
